PERU, Ind. – The Tiffin University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Midwest Collegiate at Rock Hollow on Tuesday, finishing seventh in a highly competitive field. The University of Findlay carded a final-round 289 (+1) to climb two spots and capture the team title at -2, edging Grand Valley State.
Max Vanoy made the biggest move on Tuesday, vaulting up the leaderboard into a tie for eighth after firing a tournament-best 5-under 67. Vanoy's final round featured seven birdies, including an impressive stretch of five birdies in a six-hole span on the back nine at Rock Hollow.
Liam Harvey also went under par as he carded a 70 (-2) that included birdie putts on holes 3, 12 and 17 as he finished tied for 38th.
Winston Brown capped off the tournament with a 3-over 75, recording a birdie on the 537-yard par-5 15th hole. He was followed by
Daniel Aitken, who carded a 6-over 78 on Tuesday to finish tied for 35th in the individual standings.
Mathew Dealey ended tied for 80th following his round of 78 (+6).
Competing as an individual,
Grant Woodruff finished with a round of 77 (+5) to finish the tournament at 10-over-par, good for a tie for 47th.
