TIFFIN, Ohio – It was announced on Wednesday that the Tiffin University men's golf team earned the 2025-26 PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award in conjunction with the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
A GCAA-record 331 schools across six divisions earned the PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award as the Dragons were the amongst the 155 schools who received Presidents Special Recognition for having an average team GPA of 3.5 or above in 2025-26.
 
In addition, six student-athletes also garnered Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors as those recognized were Daniel Aitken, Mitchell Brassard, Winston Brown, Liam Harvey, Ryan Norkin and Max Vanoy. The 'Gons six recipients tied for the most from one school within NCAA Division II. 
 
To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.
 
Back in April, Mitchell Brassard and Brown earned a place on the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) All-Conference Team and Brassard was also a CSC Academic All-District selection. The Dragons finished third out of 11 teams at the 2026 G-MAC Championship.
