The Dragons had six athletes competing on day one of the NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships at Emporia State University in Kansas.
Those competing were Louis Ginane, Reggie Rogers, Masakala Amuri, Thomas Nelson, Jordan Cortner, and Olivia Drozd.
Nelson finished 20th in the hammer throw with a mark of 58.77 meters (192' 9"). In the long jump, Rogers and Amuri finished 18th and 22nd, respectively. Rogers recorded a mark of 6.99 meters (22' 11.25") and Amuri recorded a mark of 6.84 meters (22' 5.25").
In the 400 hurdles, Cortner placed third with a time of 51.37 seconds to earn a spot in Saturday's finals. In the 10K, unfortunately, Ginane did not finish.
In the women's 1500, Drozd placed ninth with a time of 4:25.11 to earn a spot in Saturday's finals.
The track and field teams will wrap up the 2025-26 season on Saturday.
