Dragons land fourth NCAA regional selection

Tiffin University (34-14) will travel to Indianapolis to take on the top-seeded Greyhounds May 14-16 in the Midwest Regional, as the Dragons were selected to the NCAA Regional Tournament for the second consecutive season. 

The Dragons, seeded 8th, will take on the top-seed University of Indianapolis (56-5) followed by 4th-seed Saginaw Valley State (37-14) taking on 5th-seed Ashland (32-17) on Thursday, May 14.

The four teams will compete in a double elimination format which will continue on Friday, May 15 with the championship being held on May 16.

In the other half of the Midest Regional, 2nd-seed McKendree (43-14) will take on 7th-seed Rockhurst (35-19) while 3rd-seed Findlay (39-12) will battle 6th-seed Missouri S&T (36-17).

The winner of each regional will battle each other in the Midwest Super Regional on May 21-22.

Tiffin has had another outstanding softball season in 2026. It has won back-to-back G-MAC regular season championships. They are currently ranked in the NCAA in the following categories: 17th in team ERA (2.12), 18th in WHIP (1.18), 20th in Hits per 7 innings (5.91), 21st in strikeouts to walk ratio (2.51), and 27th in strikeouts per 7 innings (5.84). They also led the conference in ERA, and was 3rd in batting average, 3rd in home runs, and 3rd in runs scored.
