Tiffin University (27-11, 17-3 G-MAC) posted a split on the road with Ohio Dominican, coming from behind to win 5-3 in game one before falling 6-1 in game two.
The Dragons trailed 2-0 early before coming up with 3 runs in the fourth inning. After
McKenna Scott singled,
Jessica Miller doubled down the left field line to drive in TU's first run.
Tara Gall then blasted a home run to put the Dragons ahead 3-2.
With the score tied 3-3 in the seventh inning,
Macy Brazelton and
Reagan Mengerink singled. With one out,
Marina Koenig hit a pinch hit double to give TU the lead. Scott then brought another run in with a sacrifice fly.
Ella Esterby then pitched a 1-2-3 seventh to secure the win. She went 7 innings and allowed 3 runs on 5 hits with 3 strikeouts.
In game two, the Dragons were unable to generate any offense until the seventh inning.
Molly Koesters singled and Brazelton doubled to put runners at second and third.
Jadyn Bassi got the runner home with a groundout to shortstop.
