TU men's and women's track and field had athletes competing at the Raleigh Relays and sent multiple to the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open over the weekend.
The Yellow Jacket Open was scored and the men finished fourth out of 28 teams while the women placed 10th out of 22 teams.
Men's Raleigh Relays notable results:
Louis Ginane and Isaac Houghton both competed in the 5000 meter run. Ginane placed 57th with a time of 14:11.87 and Houghton was 101st with a time of 14:25.41, a new personal best.
Women's Raleigh Relay notable results:
Amilia Wise-Sweat placed 38th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:09.87.
Men's notable Yellow Jacket Open results:
Ramon Rodriguez won the 1500 meter run with a time of 3:55.25.
Preston Rutschilling won the high jump with a mark of 2.05 meters (6' 8.75").
Brock Carlson placed second in the shot put with a mark of 16.43 meters (53' 11").
Thomas Nelson finished second in the hammer throw recording a new personal best throw of 62.10 meters (203' 9").
Gabe Douce placed second in the 1500 meter run with a new personal best time of 3:56.67.
Women's notable Yellow Jacket Open results:
Greta Macadam placed second in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:17.03.
Ally Denny set a new personal best time of 4:50.01 in the 1500 meter run and finished 12th.
Makayla May finished fifth in the pole vault with a new personal best mark of 3.79 meters (12' 5.25").
Reese Smith recorded personal bests in both the discus (37.08 meters / 121' 8") and the hammer throw (35.20 meters / 115' 6").
Alexis Diehl recorded personal bests in both the discus (33.36 meters / 109' 5") and the hammer throw (33.04 meters / 108' 5").
