Tiffin University (12-8, 2-0 G-MAC) opened its conference season in fine fashion, sweeping Cedarville on the road 7-4 and 10-1 in 6 innings.
In the opener,
Ella Esterby got the win, allowing 4 runs and 8 hits over 7 innings. She had no walks and 2 strikeouts.
Tiffin broke through in the fourth inning with 5 runs. Esterby helped her own cause with a home run down the left field line to make it 1-0. After

Tori Abel stole second and moved to third on a single by
Lexi Key. She then scored on a error at third base.
Gwen McMenemy then singled to drive in another run. After
McKenna Scott's single loaded the bases,
Tori McPherson then drove in two runs with another single to make the score 5-0, Dragons.
After a
Tara Gall single, pinch runner
Caylin Stevens moved to second on a wild pitch. With two outs,
Jadyn Bassi singled for another run and then scored on the next play on another fielding error by the Yellow Jackets.
In game two,
Lexi Key improved to 8-2 on the season wtih a 4-hit effort over 6 innings. She fanned 6, walked none, and allowed just one earned run.
Tiffin did all its damage in the even innings, with 3 in the second and fourth and 4 more in the sixth.
After a Gall single and a sacrifice that moved her to third base, Bassi drove her home with another single to start the second inning. With two outs, Bassi stole second and then scored on Scott's single to left field. McPherson followed with another single that drove in Scott.
In the fourth, Bassi doubled, McMenemy walked, and Scott singled to load the bases. McPherson then singled to drive in two runs and a fielding error on the single allowed another run to score.Â
In the sixth, a McMenemy fielder's choice and walks to Scott and McPherson loaded the bases.
Jessica Miller then singled for two runs. After an Esterby walk loaded the bases, Gall had a two-out single that drove in Tiffin's final two runs.
