Tiffin University (3-3, 1-1 G-MAC) had a tough first quarter, falling behind early and failing to catch up in a 17-5 loss to Walsh.
The Dragons were shutout in the opening quarter 7-0 as they were outshot 12-5 overall and managed just 2 shots on goal.
Walsh pushed its lead to 8-0 and eventually led at halftime 10-2. The Dragons got goals in the first half from
Aaron Cotter and
Noah Cruz.
Matthew Nunnaro scored midway through the third quarter, while
Cole Back and
Connor Gucwa scored Tiffin's final two goals in the final 2:00 of the game.
Overall Walsh outshot TU 45-32 and also held a 43-34 ground ball advantage.Â
