Tiffin University (3-2, 1-0 G-MAC) played consistently on offense and defense, opening conference play with a 13-6 victory at Malone.

The Dragons forced 24 total turnovers and held Malone to just 19 shots on goal as they put up double figures on shots in three of the four quarters. 

With the score tied 2-2 midway through the first quarter, TU turned up the offensive pressure, outscoring Malone the rest of the half 6-2. Aiden Criteser had 2 first-quarter goals while Jack Howard also had 2 first-half goals to lead the attack.

Tiffin put the game away in the third quarter with a 4-1 scoring edge. Howard scored all 4 goals in the quarter with assists also going to Noah Cruz and Oliver Miller. 

Overall Tiffin outshot Malone 52-32 including 30-19 on goal. Tiffin held a huge 45-22 ground ball lead.

Howard finished with 6 goals while Criteser had 3 goals with an assist and 3 ground balls. Cole Mack had 2 goals while Jack Birch and Nate Pearson also scored. Tyler Nutting had 7 ground balls in goal for TU while Birch and Izak Rowe had 6 apiece. Nick Overocker had 4 ground balls and won 11 faceoffs.

Nutting got the win in goal, making 13 saves.
