Coy Blair inducted to USTFCCCA Hall of Fame

Coy Blair has been selected for induction to the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame.

This marks the first Tiffin track and field athlete to ever earn induction to the USTFCCCA Hall of Fame.

Blair dominated NCAA Division II throwing events in 2017, establishing himself as the nation's premier shot putter. After ruling the GLIAC, Blair swept the NCAA indoor and outdoor titles, highlighted by an outdoor victory margin of more than three feet. He also captured the NCAA weight throw crown that season, becoming the first athlete since 2006 to complete the shot-weight double. Blair concluded his career as a three-time NCAA champion and a six-time All-America honoree.

"Coy Blair is a legend within Tiffin Dragons Athletics," said former Head Track and Field Coach and current Assistant Vice President of Athletics and Development Jeremy Croy. "I am grateful for everything he taught me and for the leadership he provided on our championship teams. Our success would not have been possible without his inspiration and his ability to deliver in the biggest moments. He is a true champion and an even better teammate and friend."

"Coaching Coy was an incredible opportunity at Tiffin," said former throws coach and current Assistant Coach at the University of Iowa Ray Robinson. "He was extraordinarily gifted as an athlete, and he worked hard to get all out of those gifts he could. Even more impressive was how good of a teammate he was. Coy wanted to see the best versions of all those around him. That's what really separated him from others and allowed our program to blossom. Coy was and still is immensely proud to be a Tiffin Dragon. He's a great great Champion that will always be held in the highest regard in the Dragon Kingdom."
