The Tiffin University women's lacrosse team (1-2) could not hold onto a third quarter lead and fell 14-12 at Davis & Elkins on Saturday afternoon.  

Halfway through the third quarter, Lauren Walsh scored to give Tiffin a 10-7 lead, and the Dragons seemed to be in control until the Senators came alive for the comeback.  

The Senators scored five unanwered goals and took a 12-10 lead into the fourth quarter while outscoring the Dragons 7-3 in the quarter.  

Back-to-back goals by Aryanna Rykard and Lillian Graham made it 12-12 with 8:28 remaining in the game. It remained that way until the Dragons were whistled for cards and Davis & Elkins scored twice in 55 seconds on the player advantage.  

After Graham's goal at the 8:28 mark, the Dragons were held without a shot for the remainder of the game. 

After a slow start to the game in which the teams combined for three goals in the opening period, the Dragons doubled the Senators 6-3 in goals in the second quarter and led 7-5 at halftime.  

Kenna Wigginton had a big day offensively with four goals and Walsh scored three. Rykard, Isabelle Vranjes, Ashley Spangler, Graham, and Guinevere Salas each scored one goal. 

Only one of Tiffin's goals had an assist, and Walsh was credited with it. Rykard led the team with three ground balls and also led the team with four caused turnovers.  

TU lost the ground ball battle 31-16, were outshot 34-26, and won just nine of 23 draw controls. 

Sarah Hart made 12 saves and took the loss in goal.
