Tiffin University (0-1) fell behind early and could not catch back up, falling 11-6 in a close contest with William Jewell.

William Jewell scored the first three goals of the game to take a 3-0 lead. Aiden Criteser got TU on the board off a pass from Isaac Wert to make it 3-1.

WJU scored again to make it 4-1 and Matthew Nunnaro tallied an unassisted goal to make it 4-2 but Tiffin could not pull to within 2 goals again for the remainder of the game.

Tiffin trailed 7-3 at halftime despite leading in shots 15-14. Twelve of Tiffin's 15 shots were on goal but did not result in goals as WJU made 9 saves in the first half.

Scoring slowed in the second half, with WJU holding a 4-3 edge. Overall WJU held a 23-17 edge in shots on goal and won the ground ball battle 29-21. 

Criteser finished with 2 goals and 3 ground balls in the game, while Nunnaro, Jack Howard, Wert, and Cole Back also had goals. Connor Gucwa also had an assist.

Leading the defense was Jack Birch and Izak Rowe with 2 caused turnovers apiece.

Dawson Baker took the loss in goal, making 12 saves over 60 minutes.
