The Dragons (4-9, 0-6 G-MAC) were defeated by Findlay 89-55 Thursday night at the Gillmor Center as the visitors drained 12 three-pointers and shot over 50 percent in the game.
The Dragons got off to a good start as the scoring started with a three-pointer from Jonah Nesmith on the opening possession. Another three by Michael Lucarotti made it 8-6 Dragons and the Oilers took off from there going on a 16-0 run for nearly four minutes to lead 22-8. Findlay led the rest of the game.
Tiffin was scoreless for the final 2:42 of the opening half trailing by 12 and trailed by 18 at the break, 40-22.
A layup by D'monyae Davis with 14:41 left in the game made it a 15-point deficit as the Dragons carried some slight momentum. Any momentum Tiffin had was taken back by the Oilers as Findlay canned four three-pointers to expand their lead to 26. Findlay led by as many as 35 in the game.
Tiffin turned it over 21 times, and the Oilers converted the turnovers into 26 points. The Dragons were 20 of 54 from the field for 37 percent.
Nesmith and Davis led the way in scoring with 13 each and Lucarotti added 11 points. Davis grabbed nine rebounds and Lucarotti and Demar Burton had three assists each.
