Coming off a record-setting 2025 season, Tiffin University softball has been picked to finish first as the G-MAC released the Preseason Coaches Poll this afternoon.
Tiffin totaled 156 points and 11 first-place votes, with Findlay next with 137 (1) and Hillsdale third with 133 (1). Ohio Dominican (122) and Northwood (119) rounded out the top five.
Tiffin finished 43-14 in 2025 and were an NCAA Regional selection. TU's 43 wins were the most Division II victories in school history. The team was ranked 17th in the nation. Nationally the Dragons were 5th in shutouts, 10th in ERA, 13th in hits, 14th in doubles, 16th in RBI, 17th in W-L percentage, 18th in team strikeouts per 7 innings, 19th in WHIP, 21st in triples, 22nd in runs, 24th in scoring, and 24th in batting average. In the G-MAC, TU led in batting average, doubles, ERA, hits, home runs, on-base percentage, RBI, scoring, shutouts, slugging percentage, runs, team strikeouts per 7 innings, triples, and W-L percentage.
