Box Score Tiffin University (2-1-1, 1-0 G-MAC) opened its G-MAC season in dramatic fashion, coming back with two second-half goals including the gamewinner in the 90th minute to beat Ashland 2-1.
Tiffin found itself in a 1-0 hole at halftime, allowing a goal in the 45th minute to Riki Soto.Â
The Dragons refocused at the break, outshooting Ashland 8-2 in the second half and allowing only 2 total shots on goal in the game. Still, the Dragons did not equalize until the 85th minute when
Griffin Cook scored off a double assist from Kris McDonald and
Yaw Turkson.
Tiffin kept up the offensive attack, with Turkson knocking home the winning goal off a pass from
Mamadou Keita with just 58 seconds left.
Nick Cherry got the win in goal, making one save over 90 minutes.
Overall Tiffin outshot Ashland 13-7, with 10 of those shots being on goal.
