Jessica Miller earned a unique double honor as the G-MAC announced its 2025 All Conference selections, as the freshman was named both Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year.
Miller, a leftfielder, enjoyed a blockbuster debut season for the Dragons, who won the G-MAC regular season title and are ranked 17th nationally. She led the G-MAC in doubles, on-base percentage, slugging, and total bases while setting a new TU record with 23 doubles. She also ranks 1st in the nation in doubles and is 16th in runs. She hit .419 overall with 7 home runs and 45 RBI.
Paige McMenemy was named G-MAC Coach of the Year after leading the Dragons to the regular season title. Tiffin's 39-11 record is the best D2 mark in school history and equals the most wins ever for a Tiffin school in its NCAA Division II history…Tiffin last won 39 games 14 years ago when it qualified for regionals and finished with a 39-14 mark.
Along with Miller, two other Tiffin players landed First Team honors. Catcher
Reagan Mengerink and pitcher
Ella Esterby were honored after their standout seasons.
Mengerink led the conference in hits and was also tops in throwing base stealers out and also toughest to strike out. Nationally she is 4th in toughest to strike out and ranks 25th hits. She hit .396 with 2 home runs and 42 RBI.
Esterby went 15-6 with a 1.58 ERA to lead TU in pitching wins. She ranks 15th nationally in shutouts with 6 and leads a pitching staff that leads the G-MAC in ERA, shutouts, and team strikeouts per 7 innings.
Three Dragons also earned Second Team laurels. Third baseman
Maci Head, second baseman
Tori McPherson, and pitcher
Lexi Key garnered the honors.
Head ranks 2nd in career home runs for the Dragons with 27. She belted 12 this season and needs one more to tie the single season TU record. She hit .319 with 12 home runs and a team-high 46 RBI.
McPherson had a breakthrough year, batting .347 with 24 RBI along with 8 doubles, 2 triples, and a home run.
Key finished 12-5 with a 2.13 ERA. She also had 100 strikeouts in 92 innings.
