Tiffin University (2-6, 1-4 G-MAC) fell behind early and could not catch up as Davenport raced past the Dragons 14-4.
Davenport had an overwhelming first period, outscoring TU 6-0 while outshooting them 24-5. While things evened out in the second period, the Panthers still managed a 30-13 shot edge at halftime while leading overall 8-2.
Tiffin got on the board at the 7:06 mark of the second period when
Matthew Nunnaro scored an unassisted goal.
Kyle Geller scored off a pass from
Connor Gucwa to make it 8-2 with 3:19 left in the half.
Gucwa scored a goal in the third period, Tiffin's lone goal of the period.
Sam Trujillo tallied TU's final goal in the fourth period off a pass from
Cole Back.
Davenport held a massive 20-1 faceoff edge and won the groundball battle 41-23.
Dawson Baker took the loss in goal, making 19 saves.
Brady Sortor and
Aiden Criteser led the Dragons with 4 ground balls each while Sortor also had 3 caused turnovers.
