Nolan Gessler has been named G-MAC Wrestling Athlete of the Week.

Gessler won the 165-pound title at the Midwest Classic and was also named Most Outstanding Wrestler. Gessler cruised through day one with wins over Wheeling by pin in 1:15, Kentucky Wesleyan by fall in 4:13, and Grand Valley State 4-0. He picked up three more wins on day two, beating Gannon 5-2 and Parkside 6-4 before defeating two-time national champion David Hunsberger of Lander in the title bout 10-3. He was Tiffin's lone champion and was one of six placers as TU finished tied for fourth of 47 teams.
