A strong second half propelled Tiffin University (3-1) to a 65-48 win at Davenport, concluding a 2-0 road trip for the Dragons.
With the Dragons leading at the half 29-28, the offense put together a 12-4 run over the final 5:00 minutes of the third quarter to take a 9-point lead into the final quarter 48-39.
Tiffin continued its hot streak into the final quarter, opening on a 9-3 run that pushed its lead to 15 points with 7:00 remaiining.
Tiffin's defense stepped up, forcing 23 Davenport turnovers in the game while only turning the ball over 13 times on offense. Tiffin also controlled scoring in the paint, holding a 28-18 edge.
Hailey Unger led the attack with 18 points and 7 rebounds, while
Isabelle Niederst and
Megan Campbell both contributed 11 points and 5 assists.
Myka Richardson also reached double figures off the bench with 10 points and 8 rebounds.Â
Tiffin also had good team passing, registering 16 total assists on 25 made field goals.
