Box Score Tiffin University (12-2-4) kept up the offensive pressure while allowing just 4 shots on goal, defeating Findlay 2-0 to advance to the G-MAC Tournament Championship game.
The Dragons will face Kentucky Wesleyan at 1 pm Nov. 15 at Paradiso Fields for the title.
Despite holding a 12-3 shot edge in the first half, the game was scoreless at halftime.
Tiffin got on the scoreboard early in the second half, however, with
Yaw Turkson dribbling around two defenders before dishing off to
Sebastian Alvarez Cano for a goal in the 49th minute.Â
Tiffin got a big insurance goal in the 55th minute when
Anelson Azard scored on a pass from
Tate Newman.
Tiffin eventually finished with a 26-6 shot advantage. Defensively the Dragons allowed only one shot on goal after halftime.
Nick Cherry got the win in goal, making 4 saves and recording his 13th shutout. That ties a single season TU record for most shutouts.
