Tiffin University (5-2-1, 4-1 G-MAC) turned up the offense in the second half, exploding for three goals en route to a 3-0 win over Findlay.
After 45 minutes, the two teams had battled to a 0-0 draw with Findlay outshooting TU 5-3. After the break, the Dragons outshot the Oilers 14-5, scoring quickly in the 50th minute when
Anelson Azard took a pass from Zachary Garcia to put TU up 1-0.
The Dragons' defense played to near perfection, allowing no shots on goal over 90 minutes. Meanwhile, TU made it 2-0 in the 62nd minute when Sebastian Alvarez scored off a pass from
Edward Peralta.
The Dragons got their final goal in the 72nd minute when
Mamadou Keita scored off another feed from Garcia.
Overall TU outshot Findlay 17-10, with
Nick Cherry getting the win making 0 saves over 90 minutes. Tiffin also held an 8-3 mark in corner kicks.
