Tiffin University (10-2-3, 9-1-2 G-MAC) posted another shutout, dispatching Ohio Dominican in a cold, rain-soaked game 3-0.
The win, coupled with Cedarvilles 3-3 tie with Kentucky Wesleyan, moves the Dragons into first place in the conference by one point with two games to play.
Tiffin got one goal in the first half and added two insurance goals in the second half.
Sam Brittain was a factor on all three goals, as he scored off passes from
Zach Garcia on both of the first two goals. His first goal was in the 29th minute while he tacked on the second goal in the 49th minute.
Brittain then assisted on the third goal in the 58th minute, dishing a pass to
Anelson Azard who knocked it in the top left of the goal.
Tiffin's defense continued its hot streak, allowing no shots on goal for the game and allowing only 5 total shots by ODU. Tiffin held an 18-5 shot edge and a 10-2 corner kick margin.Â
Nick Cherry got his 10th shutout in goal, getting the win with 90 clean minutes.
