The Tiffin University women's soccer team (2-8-2, 1-6-1 G-MAC) came back home on Thursday afternoon for the fifth game in a row and picked up their first conference win vs Kentucky Wesleyan 2-0.  
Today's result was the Dragons' second shutout win of the season and snapped a nine-game goalless streak.  
The Dragons battled hard in the first half, which saw the first 39 minutes resulting in no goals. The Dragons sent five shots in the first 28 minutes and ultimately found the back of the net in the 40th minute on a goal by Taylor Iden with assists from Athenais Charvieux and Addyson Jacquemain. 
The Panthers continued to fight and claw but were held off the board by TU's defense. The Dragons came out of the half looking to strike first with a shot on goal by Sam McPhee in the bottom left of the net in the 53rd minute, but it was saved by KWC's goalkeeper. The Dragons, seeking to extend their lead, got an important insurance goal in the 72nd minute. Off the Panthers' free kick, TU gained possession and had numbers down the field where Dani Garner snuck the shot attempt past KWC's goalkeeper into the lower right corner with assists coming from Amanda Feury and Suzy Hayes to help extend the Dragons to a comfortable 2-0 lead with just under 20 minutes to play. 
After falling behind by two goals, the Panthers were only able to send two shots on goal in the final 18 minutes and both were saved by Aubree Lee. 
Overall, Tiffin outshot Kentucky Wesleyan 14-13, with the Dragons having six shots on goal while the Panthers only had four. Kentucky Wesleyan did have a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks.   
Tiffin goalkeeper Aubree Lee got the win, making four saves in the game to keep the Panthers off the board and played all 90 minutes.
