Women's Soccer rallies from two goals down to earn first win on Senior Day

The Tiffin University women's soccer team (1-4, 1-1 G-MAC) posted a come from behind win against Thomas More as they erased a 2-0 deficit and turned into a 3-2 win on senior day.

Prior to the game, seniors Ada Tempert, Malea Nelson, Averie Lutz, Natalie Morris, Haley McClain, and Suzy Hayes were recognized.

The first half featured three goals with all three coming in a flurry, in a span of 2:21. TMU scored their two goals in a span of 2:07, one in the 32nd minute with the second one in the 34th minute. TMU started the scoring when TU goalkeeper Malea Nelson was unable to corral the ball when the Dragons had possession and Ivy Hoffman was right on it for the goal and Hoffman assisted on their second goal.

On the ensuing kickoff, TU went right on the attack and Tia Nagle found Leia Reinerth who found the back of the net just over the goalkeeper's head just 14 seconds later to cut the lead in half. Despite still trailing, the Dragons would use that momentum for the rest of the game and capitalized with two goals in the second half to earn their first win.

In the 63rd minute on the first corner of the game, Emma Lennig sent a ball into the back part of the net and Suzy Hayes headed the ball into the back of the net to tie the game at two. TU would keep the offensive pressure on and broke through again in the 82nd minute. Hayes sent a shot on goal that TMU goalkeeper Lauren Welsh saved but couldn't corral and it landed at the feet of Autumn Schweitzer who put the ball into the net for the game-winning goal.

The Dragons outshot Thomas More 18-12 in the game including 10-5 in the second half.

Nelson made three saves in goal with all three coming in the first half to earn the win.
