The Dragons got off to a good start this evening by scoring the first point of the match and led 11-7 after kills by Josie Reinhart and Olivia Karhoff. TU later extended the lead to 18-12 after back-to-back kills by Taylor Peterson. Ashland came back and cut the deficit to one, but the Dragons won the final two points of the set on errors by the Eagles to take the first set.

The Dragons got off to a slower start in the second set and trailed 5-1. TU rallied back to tie it at eight after a service ace by Katelyn Owens. Trailing 16-14, TU got kills by Reinhart and Owens and attack errors by the Eagles to take a 19-16 lead. The Dragons led 22-20 and a kill by Kaylee Freund gave TU a 23-21 lead. The Eagles would go on to win the final four points and clinched the set on an attack error by Kenedi Goon.

The Dragons bounced back in a big way and won the third set in convincing fashion. TU won 10 of the first 14 points to take the early lead. The Eagles didn't go away quietly but they could only get within four points and the Dragons won eight of the final 10 points of the set and clinched the set on an ace by Owens.

Ashland responded in a big way in set four to force the decisive fifth set. Set five was a battle from the get go with the Dragons winning three of the first four points. Ashland took their first lead at 9-8 after an attack error from Karhoff. Ashland won the next two points after the Dragons tied it at nine and led the rest of the way. A kill by Goon cut the lead to 14-13 but the Eagles were able to take the match on the next point on a kill by GraceAnn Hartman.

Goon finished with a team-high 15 kills and Reinhart and Peterson also recorded double digit kills. Karhoff led the way with 22 digs with Diana Heitkamp and Addison Conti recording double digit digs as well. Conti led the team in assists with 30.
