Box Score Tiffin University (1-1-1) had a second-half lead but could not hold on, falling to Saginaw Valley State 3-2.

After a scoreless first half that saw the Dragons outshoot SVSU 5-3, the Dragons took the lead in the 61st minute when Amara Kamara took a pass from Aalon Wilson Wright and headed it home for a 1-0 lead.

Things started to fall apart quickly for the Dragons in the 75th minute when the Cardinals tallied two goals just 30 seconds apart. Mzo Mthembu scored both of them to vault SVSU ahead 2-1.

The Cardinals added a big insurance goal in the 84th minute when Mthembu got his hat trick with his third goal.

TU made a late charge, getting a goal from Freddie Oliver off a pass from Anelson Azard in the 88th minute but it was as close as the Dragons could get.

Overall TU outshot SVSU 13-10 while also holding a 9-2 edge in corner kicks. 

Felix Graf took the loss in goal, making 4 saves while allowing 3 goals over 90 minutes.
