The Dragons (13-18, 8-9 G-MAC) fell just short in the final game of the four-game series with Ohio Dominican, 8-7, going 1-3 for the series overall.
Colin Crisenberry scored the first run of the game for Tiffin in the top of the third on an error by the first baseman, tying the game at one apiece. ODU regained the lead the next inning before
Jack Clancy delivered a two-run homer over the right field wall to put the Dragons back in the driver's seat 3-2.
The back-and-forth continued as the Panthers plated three runs in the bottom of the sixth to regain the lead. TU responded the next half inning thanks to a pair of RBI-singles from
Tommy Thamann and
Isaiah Mirabal to level the game at 5-5. However, another three-run inning by the home side in the bottom half earned them a lead that Tiffin was unable to recover from despite scoring two in the top half of the eighth.
Clancy led the team in RBI's with two while four Dragons tallied two hits on the day including
Ty Hatfield,
Logan Swonger,
Andrew Fairbrother, and Thamann.
The Dragons now return home for a midweek doubleheader against rivals Findlay on Wednesday, April 10 beginning at 1 p.m.
