Tiffin University (22-22, 8-12 G-MAC) headed to Trevecca Nazarene and fell in two games, dropping the opener 8-0 in 5 innings and 7-6 in the nightcap.
In game one,
Claire Feldkamp took the loss, allowing 6 earned runs over 4 innings on 7 hits and 7 walks. The Trojans got four runs in the bottom of the fifth to end the game.
Tiffin's offense managed just one hit, a single in the top of the second inning.
In game two, the Dragons put up more of a fight, falling behind 7-1 before scoring 5 runs in the fifth inning to narrow the gap.
Trailing 2-0 in the second, Tiffin got on the board.
Maci Head singled, and pinchrunner
Bailey Hamilton then went to second on a wild pitch.
Tara Gall walked, and
Ryan Wallace got the RBI with a single to left center to make it 2-1.
In the fifth inning,
Maddie Woods and
Reagan Mengerink singled.
Baylee Mirgon then drove in one run with a double. After Head walked,
Aubrie Harper drilled a home run to left field to make it 7-6, Trevecca Nazarene.
The Dragons were unable to get a runner in scoring position over the final two innings.
Jules King took the loss, allowing 7 earned runs over 3.2 innings on 8 hits and 3 walks. Feldkamp finished the final 2.1 innings with no runs allowed.
