The Dragons (13-8, 7-6 G-MAC) hosted their rivals, University of Findlay, for the first time this season which ended in a 68-63 defeat following a second-half push from the Oilers.
Tiffin outrebounded the opposition 38-32 and committed less turnovers, but shot just 39.3 percent from the field compared to the 44.4 percent of Findlay.
TU won the first half, despite trailing by 10 points roughly 10 minutes into the game. The Oilers went cold as the Dragons held them to just five points over the final nine and half minutes. Tiffin went on an 11-5 run to take a six-point lead thanks to a successful three by
Wesley Jordan.
The second half was packed with action as there were five lead changes. The final lead change came with seven minutes remaining as Findlay took over. The Dragons pulled to within one on four separate occasions but were unable to regain the advantage.
Leading the way was Jordan, posting a season-high 26 points and adding 11 rebounds to record his fourth double-double of the season.
Brandon Swaby followed with 11 points, shooting 50 percent from long range.
Morgan Taylor contributed with seven points, seven assists, and five rebounds while
KJ Pruitt added six rebounds and a team-high three steals.
TU now travels to Ohio Dominican to take on the Panthers on Monday, February 12 at 6 p.m.
