The Dragons (14-8, 8-6 G-MAC) overcame a slow first half offensively with an explosive second half to down the Panthers 68-57 on the road.
TU struggled at the start, shooting 29.6 percent in the first half and trailed by six points at the break. The Dragons caught fire in the second half, scoring nearly 50 points on 61.3 percent from the floor.
Tiffin trailed by as many as 10 points with just over four minutes remaining in the first half before cutting it to six. A 13-6 run by the Dragons to open the half earned them their first lead of the game. TU went on to extend its lead to as many as 12 points as it pulled away to earn the 68-57 victory.
Wesley Jordan led the Dragons in scoring with 24 points and came one rebound shy of a double-double with nine. He was nearly perfect from the field, sinking 11 of his 12 shot attempts. He was followed by
Brandon Swaby with 14 and 10 rebounds to record his first double-double of the season.
Joshua Rivers had a solid performance off the bench, posting 17 points, three assists and three steals in 24 minutes played.
