Tiffin University (3-2) wrapped up its trip to the Music City Invitational with a 5-2 win over Wisconsin Parkside.
Jules King and
Claire Feldkamp were too much for the Parkside batters to overcome, with King getting the win with 5 innings of 4-hit ball. She allowed two earned runs with 5 strikeouts and no walks. Feldkamp finished the final two innings and allowed just two hits.
The Dragons got all their runs in the first two innings. In the first inning,
Reagan Mengerink singled and came home on
Maci Head's triple down the right field line. She then scored on
Molly Koesters's flyout to right field to make it 2-0, Dragons.
In the second,
Maddie Woods singled followed by another single from
Baylee Mirgon. After a groundout,
Lydia Kobie then singled to shortstop. Two runs then scored on an error at first base on a fielder's choice by King. Kobie then proceeded to score on Mengerink's foul flyout to left field to make it 5-0, Tiffin.
Parkside picked up solo runs in the fourth and fifth innings, but overall the Dragons only allowed three runners into scoring position over the seven innings.
Head and Woods both had two hits apiece with Head getting a triple.
Tara Gall also had a double.
