Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Dragons drop 1-0 decision to Cedarville

The Tiffin University women's soccer team (1-14-2, 1-10-2 G-MAC) finished the road portion of their schedule on Saturday afternoon against Cedarville with a 1-0 loss.  

This is the third game in a row that the TU offense has been held scoreless. 

Both defenses pitched a shutout during the first 45 minutes. The TU defense stepped up and despite 11 shot attempts by the Yellow Jackets, the Tiffin defense held their own and kept Cedarville off the scoreboard. Five of Cedarville's 11 shots in the half landed on goal and the Yellow Jackets were unable to break through despite nine corner kick opportunities.  

Sam McPhee had the first shot attempt of the game for the Dragons in the 14th minute. The lone shot on goal in the half came from Mackenzie Borden in the 24th minute. 

The Yellow Jackets eventually broke through and found the back of the net in the 61st minute which proved to be the game winner.  

The Cedarville defense limited the Dragons to very few opportunities and the only shot on goal for TU in the second half came 3:31 into the half by Suzy Hayes.  

Overall in the game, Cedarville outshot Tiffin 27-5 and had 11 corner kick chances compared to zero by the Dragons.  

Aubree Lee played all 90 minutes in goal and made a season-high 11 saves.  

The Dragons play their season finale on Wednesday, November 6 at the Paradiso Athletic Complex against Findlay at 2:30 pm.
