Tiffin University (12-4-1, 11-2 G-MAC) clinched the regular season conference championship with a dramatic 2-1 win at Cedarville.
This marks TU's third consecutive regular season title in the G-MAC. The game saw the Dragons come from behind, as Cedarville opened scoring in the 30th minute after a steal and a 30-yard shot into the open net.
Tiffin answered quickly, as Jahzihno OGarro took a penalty kick and knocked in the rebound off the goalkeeper at the far post in the 35th minute. The two teams were tied 1-1 at halftime.
Tiffin took control in the second half, outshooting Cedarville 8-2 in the half and not allowing a Yellow Jackets shot for the final 24:00 of the game. Even so, the Dragons did not get the gamewinning goal until the 82nd minute when PrayGod Palangyo took a cross from OGarro and tapped it in.
Overall Tiffin outshot Cedarville 14-5 with the defense allowing just three shots on goal.Â
Felix Graf got the win in goal, making 2 saves over 90 minutes.
