Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Early deficit too much to overcome for Dragons against Findlay

The Tiffin University women's soccer team (1-11-2, 1-7-2 G-MAC) fell behind 2-0 just 7:52 minutes into today's contest against Findlay and couldn't mount a comeback, eventually falling by a score of 2-1.

The first shot and shot on goal by Findlay landed in the back of the net by Sydney Noble to give the Oilers a 1-0 lead just 4:39 into the game. The Oilers quickly added a second goal just over three minutes later to make it 2-0.

The Dragons got on the board late in the first half in the 40th minute when Sydney McBride scored her first career goal on an assist from Leia Rienerth. That would conlcude the scoring for the first half and Findlay held a 12-3 advantage in shot attempts during the first 45 minutes.

After an offensive heavy first half, the second half was the exact opposite with both defenses pitching shutouts. Of TU's three shot attempts in the second half, two of them came in the first 10 minutes and the final attempt was by Suzy Hayes in the 86th minute with Findlay's goalkeeper Cat Graves making the save.

Overall, Findlay held a 19-6 advantage in shots with 12 landing on goal while the Dragons only mustered six shot attempts with four landing on goal.

Aubree Lee played all 90 minutes in goal and made 10 saves.

The Dragons return home on Saturday, October 26 to host Walsh for their pink game at the Paradiso Athletic Complex at noon.
