The Tiffin University women's soccer team (1-9-1) finished out the nonconference portion of their schedule Saturday afternoon at the Paradiso Athletic Complex, falling to Indiana (PA) by a score of 4-1. It's the fourth straight loss for the Dragons.
The day started positively for TU as Mauriana Dorsch put the Dragons on top 1-0 in the 20th minute on an assist from Autumn Schweitzer. IUP wasted no time tying the game as they scored the equalizer just over three minutes later in the 23rd minute. IUP took the lead just before halftime on a penalty kick goal.
IUP added two more in the second half, scoring in the 61st minute and then added on goal number four in the 88th minute to secure the win.
Overall in the game, IUP had a 10-6 advantage in shot attempts with nine of the attempts being on goal. Of TU's six shot attempts, three were on goal.
Malea Nelson played all 90 minutes in goal and made five saves. Mackenzie Borden led the team in shot attempts with two.
The Dragons will finish their homestand on Thursday, Oct. 17 when top five Ashland visits the Paradiso Athletic Complex for a 4 p.m. G-MAC contest.
