The Dragons (8-4, 2-2 G-MAC) struggled offensively in the form of missed threes and free throws, coming up just short in a 56-51 road-defeat to the Hillsdale Chargers.

Tiffin did an outstanding job of taking care of the basketball, allowing just four turnovers while forcing Hillsdale into 19. However, the Dragons were outrebounded 43-27 in total and shot just 5.0 percent from beyond the arc and 54.5 percent from the charity stripe which ultimately made the difference.

After falling behind 8-0 to start the game, TU battled back to within two points at 18-16 with just under four and a half minutes remaining in the half. It was a low-scoring first half which ended 26-20 in favor of the Chargers.

Hillsdale earned its largest lead of the game late in the second half, leading 53-43 with 2:42 left on the clock. The Dragons continued to battle but cut the deficit to just five before running out of time.

Leading the way in scoring was
Morgan Taylor with 17 points on 38.8 percent shooting from the floor. He was followed by
Wesley Jordan with 12 points while adding five rebounds.
KJ Pruitt earned his first start of the season, tallying season-highs in both minutes (34) and points (11) as well as tying his season-highs in both rebounds (7) and steals (4).
