Tiffin Scores Season-High in Dominant 98-65 Victory

The Dragons (8-3, 2-1 G-MAC) picked up right where they left off in 2023 with another dominant offensive display, this time earning a 98-65 victory over Northwood.

Tiffin led the game from start to finish and it all began with a solid first half at both ends of the floor. After jumping out to a 12-2 advantage, the Dragons were able to further extend their lead after holding the Timberwolves to just 28.1 percent shooting for the half.

Northwood was held scoreless for just over four minutes towards the end of the half as TU extended its lead to 44-21 at the break.

The second half was more of the same for the Dragons as they knocked down eight more threes on top of the five in the first half. Tiffin's bench contributed 31 points as the team shot 48.6 percent from the field in total and 43.3 percent from deep.

TU was led by Ian Lopez with 18 points as he tied his season-high in three-pointers made, connecting on five of his nine attempts. He was followed closely by Wesley Jordan with 17 points and Morgan Taylor with 15. Taylor posted six rebounds and tied for the team-high in assists and steals with KJ Pruitt with four and three respectively.

Brandon Swaby added nine points and six boards while Carius Key and Pruitt tied for the most rebounds with seven each. Jacob Pleiman added a season-high nine points off the bench as well.

Next up, the Dragons will take on Hillsdale on Saturday, January 6 at 3 p.m. before returning home to face Ashland.
