The Dragons (10-5, 4-3 G-MAC) returned home to face the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers and bounced back with a convincing 72-59 victory behind
Ian Lopez's 21-point performance.

Tiffin was clicking offensively, shooting 47.5 percent from the floor and 43.8 percent from deep while turning the ball over less than 10 times. TU forced the opposition into 11 turnovers in total and capitalized with 20 points off turnovers in the process.

The Dragons opened the game with three consecutive three-pointers to jump out to a 9-3 lead. Kentucky Wesleyan never took the lead in the first half despite tying the game twice at 14 and 19. Following a successful three by Lopez, TU took a six-point lead into the break.

KWC earned its first lead of the game just over four minutes into the second half, however, it was quickly erased as the Dragons went on a 16-3 run which included four threes from Lopez. Tiffin never gave up its lead from that point on, extending its lead to as many as 19 points with two and a half minutes remaining.

Lopez led the team with 21 points on 77.8 percent shooting from beyond the arc, setting career-highs in both points as well as threes made with seven. He was followed by
Morgan Taylor with 12 points and seven assists and
Wesley Jordan with 11 points and seven rebounds.

Brandon Swaby recorded eight points and six rebounds while
DJ Gooden contributed off the bench with four points, four rebounds, and a team-high three steals.

The Dragons have another tough test this Saturday, January 20, as they return to the Gillmor Student Center to take on Trevecca Nazarene who currently sits first place in the conference standings.
