The Dragons (7-3 Overall) exploded for 51 first-half points to help lift them over Eckerd in a 91-83 victory to close out the non-conference schedule.

Tiffin came out of the gates hot, taking an early lead and shooting 71.4 percent from the floor in total including 70 percent from deep. In total for the game, TU forced 23 total turnovers and capitalized in transition with 25 points on the fast break.

After holding a 51-29 lead at the half, the Dragons maintained the 22-point lead through the first five minutes before hitting a cold streak offensively which led to Eckerd slowly getting itself back into the game.

The Tritons battled back to within four at 85-81 with 40 seconds to go. However, they were forced to foul and Tiffin was able to hang on to improve to 7-3 overall and 6-2 in non-conference games.

All five starters reached double figures for the Dragons including
Wesley Jordan and
Brandon Swaby who both led the way with 18 each. Jordan came one rebound shy of a double-double with nine while Swaby recorded a season-highs in both points (18) and three-point field goals made (4).

Morgan Taylor and
Carius Key both tallied 13 points followed by
Joshua Rivers with 12. Key and Rivers both tied for the team-high in assists with five.
Ian Lopez contributed off the bench with nine points while
KJ Pruitt added five along with a team-high four steals.

Tiffin now heads into the holiday break before traveling to Michigan to face both Northwood and Hillsdale on the road in its return to conference play on January 4th and 6th.
