Tiffin University (0-4) fell behind early and could not catch up, falling at Grand Valley State 19-2.

Grand Valley State tallied 7 goals in the first quarter on 14 shots and added 5 more in the second quarter on 9 shots to lead 12-0 at halftime. TU did not get a shot off in the first half.

The Lakers added 6 more goals in the third period and eventually finished with a 33-5 shot advantage.

The Dragons got both their goals midway through the fourth quarter. Jenny Bates scored on a pass from Isabella Piccione at the 7:05 mark, while Gabby Wilson had an unassisted goal at the 4:13 mark to finish the scoring.

Grand Valley held a 17-3 ground ball advantage, with Wilson leading the Dragons with 2. Tiffin turned the ball over 16 times (11 in the first half), while the Lakers also won the draws 16-7.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 5 saves over 60 minutes.
