Tiffin University (1-1) dropped its first match of 2022 in a 5-2 loss at Northwood.

The Dragons opened up by winning two of the first three doubles matches. Emily Barrett/Carina Avram picked up a hard fought 7-5 win, while Allesandro Maganuco/Anaelle Lepinay also won 6-2. Shea Foster/Jessica Peace dropped a 6-1 decision.

In singles, TU managed just won victory, as Lepinay won in comeback fashion 2-6, 7-6, 6-2. 

TU fell in three other narrow singles matches, two of them in three sets. Peace fell 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, while Foster lost 5-7, 6-1, 6-1. Maganuco also lost 7-5, 7-6.

Barrett (6-2, 6-4) and Avram (6-3, 6-2) fell in the other singles matches.
