Tiffin University scored late to make it a one-goal game but it wasn't enough, as Lake Erie downed the Dragons 2-1.

The two teams battled evenly until the 73rd minute when the Dragons were called for a foul leading to an Ayden Von Essen penalty kick to put Lake Erie ahead 1-0.

Four minutes later the Storm pushed their lead to 2-0 when Teddy Baker scored.

The Dragons, who enjoyed an 8-4 shot advantage in the second half, came to within one when Pablo Leigh Valencia scored off a pass from Davide Frezzi in the 84th minute.

TU was unable to get off another shot, however, falling by one goal. Declan Lehman took the loss in goal, making 3 saves over 90 minutes.

Overall TU outshot the Storm 12-10.
