TOLEDO, Ohio - Tiffin men's tennis visited the University of Toledo for a Division I matchup on Friday night, falling to the Rockets by a final of 7-0.

The Dragons put up great fights in each of the doubles matches, with the pairing of Nikita Parfenov/Michael Gurtner coming the closest to victory with a 6-4 defeat at No. 1. Matthew Telford/Caleb Carter battled to a 6-3 finish at No. 3, while Hugo Chatras/Gabriel de Oliveira fell 6-2 at No. 2 as Toledo earned the doubles point.

In singles, Matthew Telford nearly pulled off a win at No. 3, taking the first set 6-1 but then falling 6-3 in set two and 10-8 in the tiebreaker.

Parfenov also won multiple games at No. 1 with a 6-3, 6-2 final and Chatras battled to a 6-3, 6-1 decision at No. 3.

Tiffin will have a quick turnaround before their next match, as the Dragons will face Indiana Tech at the Lakewood Racquet Club tomorrow at noon.
