2023-24: Went 1-7 in singles and 12-8 in doubles. Named a Scholar Athlete and named CSC Academic All-District.
2022-23:
Michael went 10-7 in singles play and 15-5 in doubles play...First Team All-G-MAC selection...Gurtner and Matthew Telford were positioned 40th in the ITA doubles standings.
2021-22:
Michael went 12-5 in singles play and played matches in the No. 1, and 2 spots. Michael was named First Team All GMAC. In doubles, he teamed up with Matthew Telford and went 10-4 overall and 4-1 in conference play. He and Telford were ranked 29th in the nation and 8th in the region in doubles play.
2020-21:
Gurtner went 7-8 in singles play at the No. 1 and 2 spots and was 9-7 in doubles play paired with Joe Gilman. The sophomore was ranked No. 13 in the Oracle ITA Division II Midwest Region Rankings and was named Second Team All-Conference for his performance this season.
2019-20 (shortened due to COVID-19):
Gurtner went 9-10 in singles and 5-8 from the No. 2 slot, while pairing up with Nikita Parfenov to go 10-9 in doubles and 8-6 from the No. 1 spot. At the end of the season, Gurtner and Parfenov were ranked ninth in the Midwest Region doubles ratings by the ITA.

Michael is from Tumeltsham, Austria and is the son of Franz and Karin Gurtner. He is majoring in International Business.
