Tiffin University (9-2, 7-2 GLIAC) took advantage of a penalty kick goal by Andre Landell in the 70th minute and then let the defense preserve it in a 2-1 win over visiting Lake Erie.

The goal broke a close, hard fought game which saw TU controlling most of the first half in a scoreless 45 minutes before Lake Erie made it a closer contest in the second half.

The Dragons got on the board first in the 47th minute when Abdoul Magid Sy buried a shot from 20 yards out off a pass from Landell to make it 1-0.

The Storm equalized in the 57th minute off a Joseph Munaretto goal off a rebound shot. The two teams each had chances heading into the 70th minute when a Storm defender pushed down a TU player in the box, leading to the PK.

Overall TU outshot the Storm 20-12 and had a 7-4 edge in corner kicks. Cary Wilson got the win in goal, making 4 saves while the TU defense also stepped up in making 2 team saves.
