Tiffin University (9-7, 5-1 GLIAC) saw its nine-game winning streak snapped, suffering its first conference loss in a 19-8 loss at Grand Valley State.

Tiffin battled the Lakers throughout a tight first half, giving up a couple goals late to trail 6-4 at halftime. Trailing just 7-5 early in the second half, the Lakers took control, outscoring TU 12-3 over the final 27 minutes of the game.

GVSU dominated the stats, outshooting TU 51-19 and holding a 31-22 edge in ground balls and a 17-12 lead in draw controls. Tiffin also committed 24 turnovers.

Tori Nelson was the only TU scorer with multiple goals, tallying 4. Amanda Flotteron had a goal and assist, while Katie Hill had a goal and 4 draws. Emily Roussel had a goal and 5 ground balls, while Alexis MacMillan also scored. Gina Abulone added an assist.

Jessica Bombard took the loss in goal, making 15 saves over 60 minutes.
