Tiffin University (8-6-2, 6-6 GLIAC) gave up two first half goals and could not find a way to answer, falling to Saginaw Valley State 2-0.
The Cardinals first got on the board in the 35th minute, as Tyler Channell scored on a penalty kick. They got an insurance goal in the 36th minute to take a 2-0 lead at the break.
Tiffin was outshot 16-9 in the game despite holding a 6-3 edge in corner kicks. The Cardinals also held a 8-5 edge in shots on goal. The Dragons had 3 shots on goal in the second half but could not crack the scoreboard.
