Tiffin University (1-1, 0-1 GLIAC) dropped a couple narrow doubles matches to start the day and couldn't make it up in singles competition, falling to 6-3 to GLIAC rival Northwood in their conference opener.

Chelsea Beck/Caroline Nelhage won their doubles match 8-6 but Caroline Harpaintner/Valentina Mazzola could not pull out their 8-6 loss. Third doubles also went against TU 8-5 in a tough loss from Bianca Avram/Rachelmary Brozovich.

Trailing 2-1 entering singles play, TU got wins from Nelhage 6-0, 6-4 and a thrilling three set win from Harpaintner 6-4, 6-7, 7-6, but it wasn't enough. Mazzola fell in three sets 6-4, 6-7, 6-2, while Avram, Beck, and Abigail Schuster fell in straight sets.
