Two of the top teams in the country battled at Paradiso Fields on Homecoming weekend, as the 15th ranked Dragons took on 24th ranked Northwood. Two second-half goals propelled TU to a 2-0 victory, improving their record to 5-1-1, 4-1 GLIAC. Northwood falls to 4-2-1, 2-2-1 GLIAC.
After a scoreless first half, Andre Landell got the Dragons on the board with two sensational goals. The first came in the 50th minute off a rocket free kick that found the right corner of the net.
Landell's second goal when he dribbled around a defender and sent another bullet into the far right corner to give TU a two-goal cushion.
TU was outshot 15-12 but only 4 of Northwood's shots were on goal. Jeremy Ashley got the win in goal, making 4 saves in the shutout.
