Tiffin University Men's Soccer earned an NCAA tournament birth and faced Drury University in the opening round. Regulation could not decide a victor nor could overtime number 1. The second overtime of the game saw the only goal scored, and it was scored by Drury. Charles Guelly scored off a deflection at 101:04 off an assist from Nick Ammann to give Drury the victory and the opportunity to advance in the tournament.
The Dragons managed 8 total shots with 4 getting on goal, while Drury put 8 of 11 shots on net. Smart Osadolor had 2 Dragon shots, Michael McPeek and Andre Landell had the other. Jeremy Ashley had 6 saves in goal for Tiffin.
Defense dominated the game and normally that favors the Dragons. The Tiffin defense did keep the Dragons in the game until late in the second overtime when the game winning goal was scored. Logan Ponche got the shutout for Drury.
The Dragons finish the season as GLIAC regular season champions and a 12-5-1 record. Drury improves to 16-4 and advances to face host Quincy University in round number two.
